ARIS Solutions’ Holiday Giving Initiative Benefits Two Local Charitable Organizations
[White River Junction, VT, March 18, 2024] —ARIS Solutions [arissolutions.org], a Vermont-based 501 (c)-3 nonprofit organization that provides financial services, payroll, administrative and tax-related services to assist individuals, families, and non-profits, recently organized a successful holiday giving initiative for two local charitable organizations. The charities included the Upper Valley Haven in White River Junction, Vermont, and the Upper Valley Humane Society, which is based in Enfield, New Hampshire.
The Upper Valley Haven is a private nonprofit that offers support and assistance to community members struggling with poverty in Vermont and New Hampshire, while the Upper Valley Humane Society provides the local area with a compassionate, innovative animal shelter and companion animal resource center.
Sara Sears, ARIS Solutions’ Director of Human Capital & Culture, helped to spearhead the drive, along with ARIS Talent Acquisition Specialist Jill French. “It’s a focus of our ARIS mission to assist local Vermont and New Hampshire families and individuals in need, so it really was just an extension of our day-to-day work to launch this drive,” Sears said. “We know that there are people—families, children, individuals—in need in our local community, so we selected a couple of local organizations that do great work in that regard,” she added.
Sears explained that for Upper Valley Haven, ARIS organized a food and item drive to which ARIS staff generously contributed. “Jill and I also went out and collected other donated items that Haven had identified that they needed. Besides the more typical canned goods, we also collected and donated fresh food items.” Sears added that some ARIS staff also donated hats and other items that they had crocheted.
For the Humane Society, the ARIS team members collected food, toys and bedding for the animals and then drove them to the Humane Society’s shelter to deliver them.
Additionally, Sears explained, along with the items that ARIS staff collected and donated, ARIS also budgeted a cash amount with which they purchased many of the items for both the charitable organizations.
“They were extremely grateful for the donated items,” Sears noted. “I think it was kind of a surprise for them to see all the donated goods. They told us they were very excited to distribute the goods to the people and animals they serve in their respective organizations.”
